How To Live Fatima

Between May 13 and October 13, 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared near Fatima, Portugal. She was seen by three children: Lucia dos Santos and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Our Lady of Fatima, as she is now known, communicated God’s peace plan for the world to these young visionaries. Among the many revelations, warnings, secrets and prayers that she gave to the whole world through these children, Our Lady requested three specific acts that would help hasten world peace:

1) Offer up our daily tasks as a sacrifice in reparation, according to our state in life
2) Pray the Rosary daily
3) Wear the Brown Scapular as a sign of personal consecration and make acts of consecration to her Immaculate Heart

Our Lady received from God a special mission for our time marked by grave errors and false doctrines, by wars and social changes. Ours is an age in which the Pope and the whole Church are subjected to serious trials and in which souls find themselves in grave danger of being lost. The message of Fatima points to sin as the principal cause of evil.
